Use a real emergency-capable phone service

CallTextBurn is a temporary second-number application that operates over an internet connection. It is not a traditional mobile or wireline telephone service and is not a substitute for one.

You are responsible for maintaining immediate access to a separate mobile phone, landline, or other service that is designed and configured to reach emergency services and three-digit public-service numbers.

What to do if you need emergency help

1. Stop using CallTextBurn for the emergency. Do not wait for a CallTextBurn call or message to connect.
2. Use your primary mobile or wireline phone to call 911 in the United States, or use another locally appropriate emergency-capable service.
3. If you cannot place a call, seek another immediate route to help, such as asking a nearby person to call, using an emergency call box, or going to the nearest safe staffed location.

No emergency location, callback, or priority handling

CallTextBurn does not register or provide an emergency-service address for your assigned number. It does not supply dispatchers with verified location information, guarantee that a public-safety agency can call you back, prioritize emergency traffic, or keep operating when your internet connection, device, power, account, assigned number, or a third-party provider is unavailable.

Your CallTextBurn number may be temporary, released, reassigned, suspended, or unavailable. It should never be given to an emergency responder as your only callback number.

Emergency and time-critical organizations

Do not rely on CallTextBurn to contact police or law-enforcement agencies, fire departments, ambulance services, hospitals, poison control, medical providers, crisis services, public-safety answering points, emergency dispatch, or any other emergency or time-critical organization.

Ordinary non-emergency calls to a published ten-digit number may be attempted only when otherwise supported, but CallTextBurn does not guarantee connection, delivery, identity presentation, location information, or callback capability.

Internet calling can fail

Calls through CallTextBurn may be interrupted, delayed, blocked, filtered, misrouted, or unavailable because of device problems, software errors, internet or Wi-Fi failure, power loss, carrier outages, provider restrictions, account suspension, number release, congestion, maintenance, or other events. These risks make CallTextBurn unsuitable for any situation where delay or failure could threaten safety, health, or property.
